1) By what mechanism are MIDI control codes obtained from the Hercules Mk2?

i.e.

Is there some magic signal sent to the Mk2's firmware to put in this mode?

Does firmware need to be uploaded to change into MIDI or ASIO modes?

Is there a special hardware address that must be read for the MIDI values?

Does the driver interpret the raw USB codes and republish them as MIDI codes?

2) What is the general sequence of events to initialize a Hercules DJ Console Mk2 into MIDI mode under OSX?

3) Does the sequence differ from Windows?

4) How does the sequence differ between Mk1, Mk2 and MP3 Control?
